The Ethnographic Collection of Neda Trinajstić
Description
The ethnographic collection mainly features items donated by the family of Neda Trinajstić, such as porcelain dinnerware, furniture, copper utensils, and old photographs.
Here, you can also view the traditional folk costumes of Vrbnik. The simple men's costume consists of black wide trousers (brageš), a verdakol or jacket, and a white shirt (stomanje). The women's costume, called tesnek, is made of black wool adorned with decorative elements (varoti) in red, green, and yellow, complemented by a white shirt or a jacket in red, green, or black.
Additional information
The outfit is complemented by underskirts and a hem decorated with rich handmade embroidery.
The winter version of the women's outfit, called "kotiga," is made from lambskin and rabbit fur.
